Semi-automatic bender with dual-side heating
The HRP 300 is a floor-standing semi-automatic bending machine from Shannon Machines, designed to bend thermoplastic sheets up to 3,000 mm long with digitally controlled bottom and top heating. It handles thicknesses from 1 to 12 mm and accepts sheets up to 25 mm.
Heating from both sides shortens cycle times and reduces stress in the material, making it particularly well suited to polycarbonate and thick sheets. It is a production tool for sign makers, POS and display manufacturers and interior fit-out companies that need straight, repeatable bends in large formats.

With a 3,000 mm working length and a distance between bends of 20 to 1,000 mm, the HRP 300 handles long parts and multi-bend profiles on a single machine:

Heating technology of the HRP 300 bending machine
Up to 8 digitally regulated heating lines
The HRP 300 takes 1 to 4 bottom heating profiles and 1 to 4 top profiles, with height-adjustable heating wires and digital temperature control. The entry configuration includes one bottom line, one top line and 2 control units, and can be expanded up to 8 controllers. Because the sheet is heated from both sides at once, the material reaches bending temperature sooner and builds up less stress, a decisive advantage with polycarbonate.
Pneumatic top frame operated by foot pedal and timer
The top frame is controlled by a foot pedal and a timer, and its adjustable pressure bars keep the sheet flat while it heats up. This prevents the banana effect and delivers a straight bend along the full 3-metre working length.
Repeatability with standard parallel stop and clamping bar
The parallel back stop, with millimetre and inch scales, and the clamping bar supplied as standard make it easy to repeat the same bend distance part after part. The machine is operated from a mobile touchscreen.

750 kg floor-standing frame for long, heavy sheets
Measuring 3,390 x 1,300 x 1,720 mm and weighing 750 kg, the HRP 300 provides a stable base for handling 3-metre sheets and heavy gauges. The heat-resistant work surface is made up of several adjustable panels that adapt to each part.
Modular design ready for extra profiles and controllers
The machine is internally prepared to take additional heating profiles and control units, so the investment grows with production without changing equipment. It runs on 400 V with a power consumption of 2 to 8 kW depending on the configuration, and two emergency stops complete the safety equipment.

From 2 to 8 controllers: from 1 bottom and 1 top profile up to 4 + 4 profiles with 4 pressure bars.
Multiple heating line: wide profile with up to 3 heating wires for large radii or thicker materials.
Single contact line profile: for thin sheets or foamed PVC from 0.3 to 1.5 mm, with Teflon support blocks.
VMA cooling support and additional parallel stop: HPL panel jig with protractor-adjustable angle and wheeled frame.

The HRP 300 shares its concept with the HRP 220 but extends the working length from 2,200 to 3,000 mm for large-format parts. Compared with the HRP-S 300, which runs on 230 V with a maximum of 4 controllers and sheets up to 15 mm, the HRP 300 reaches 8 controllers and a 25 mm maximum thickness on a 400 V supply.
When production volumes call for automatic feeding, the HRP-D combines the same dual-side heating with a conveyor belt transport system.
