CNC hot wire cutter for large format foams
The MAMMUT is a hot wire CNC cutter designed for cutting EPS (expanded polystyrene), XPS (extruded polystyrene), and rigid foam with an accuracy of +/-0.03 mm. A direct evolution of the Infinity model, it sets new standards in versatility and performance for the foam cutting sector, with a working area of up to 3,020 mm in X and 1,250 mm in Y, expandable to 4,500 mm or even 6,000 mm with a mobile layout on the machine's self-propelled system and its modular structure. Its modular design, with a 3,020 mm X width, makes it the most complete solution on the market for both industrial and artisanal productions, from 3D letters and signs to insulating panels, molds, prefabricated elements, and large-volume set pieces.

The MAMMUT handles the most delicate cuts and the largest industrial-format pieces with the same precision:
Signage and visual communication: precise cuts and finishes
Construction and thermal insulation: exterior insulating panels, roofing sheets, thermally insulating monoblocks, and formwork
Decoration and set design: decorative elements and large-volume set pieces
Industrial packaging: insulating boxes, custom-made protective packaging, and preforms for packaging sensitive products
Design and prototyping: conical, tapered, and Standard
Swimming pools and spas: preforms, components and lining elements for aquatic installations
Blinds and prefabricated elements: insulating boxes for blinds
The MAMMUT offers a standard cutting area of 3,020 mm in X and 1,250 mm in Y, expandable up to 4,500 mm thanks to its 0 to 6 mm rails. Four sliding, pneumatically locking marble-effect mobile boards allow for quick and smooth loading of polystyrene blocks, with rollers at the ends of each board to facilitate handling even large pieces.
The automatic wire tensioner keeps the cutting wire taut at all times, regardless of length or angle. This ensures uniform and precise cuts throughout the entire process, even in the face of electrical voltage fluctuations. The titanium wire, available in diameters from 0.25 to 0.50 mm, is selectable depending on the type of cut and the material. Unrestricted wire tilt for conical and tapered geometries. Thanks to the reduced dimensions of the main structure, the wire tilt angles are significantly greater than those of fixed-structure machines. This capability allows for conical, tapered, and irregularly shaped cuts in EPS with a level of detail unattainable with conventional machines. Microprocessor temperature control for consistent results. The wire temperature is managed by a PC-controlled system that ensures the optimal temperature is always reached before starting. The system maintains a constant temperature throughout the process, eliminating variations that could affect cut quality, especially for large-format pieces or long production runs. rolling with double Y-shaped linear guides. This combination guarantees an accuracy of +/-0.03 mm throughout the entire travel, with an axis speed of 25 m/min.
The MAMMUT is constructed of steel and flattened profiles machined with a milling machine, guaranteeing stability and rigidity. The machine's overall dimensions are 6,500 × 3,500 × 2,000 mm, making it suitable for integration into demanding production environments.

Extended Cutting Length: Extendable structure up to 4,500 mm standard or up to 6,000 mm under
Vertical Rotary Table: optional for radial cuts and revolution geometries
axes plus vertical rotation, horizontal rotation and MW for advanced cutting operations

The MAMMUT represents the evolution of the Infinity model and is positioned as the most efficient, complete, and innovative CNC hot wire cutter on the market for cutting EPS, XPS, and rigid foam. It has been designed for professionals and companies that need a machine capable of handling both high-volume industrial production and high-precision detail work, without changing equipment or wire settings. The MAMMUT breaks these limits thanks to three differentiating elements:
Modular structure on roots fixed in the ground: allows extending the cutting area up to 6,000 mm without modifying the base machine
Automatic tensioner that tilts to the diagonal of the system, allowing conical and tapered shapes impossible in conventional machines
Microprocessor temperature control: guarantees constant and uniform cuts regardless of the wire length or electrical voltage fluctuations. MAMMUT
EPS (Expanded Polystyrene): the main material, with the ability to cut in any format and geometry
XPS (Extruded Polystyrene): for high-density thermal insulation applications
Rigid Foam: for prototyping, decorative elements, and custom technical parts
The MAMMUT is not simply a cutting machine: it is a cutting platform. Its ability to expand the cutting area, combine axes of movement, and select the wire diameter according to the task makes it the go-to tool for companies that want to lead their sector in quality, versatility, and efficiency.
