The 300C and 300C PLUS hot wire cutters are perfectly suited to the needs of companies involved in the production of thermally insulated windows and doors. This new CNC pantograph has been developed specifically for cutting insulated EPS block and XPS components. New trends in energy efficiency and continuous orders for polystyrene cutting machines for window and door insulation have made the birth of this new model possible.

Expanded or extruded polystyrene is used to create the insulated shutter box and the thermal block components that guarantee excellent waterproofing. Today almost 90% of new buildings have thermal and acoustic insulated doors and windows. This is why the Italian brand Nettuno Sistemi has developed a polystyrene cutting machine specifically designed for the production of EPS and XPS parts for the insulation of doors and windows.

The focus on the construction of buildings and houses that comply with the Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Application, in recent years, has meant that all companies operating in windows and doors have adapted their production to this new requirement to ensure that buildings have adequate thermal and acoustic insulation.

The combination of the External Insulation Finish System for Facades (EIFS) with the new insulation systems for doors and windows has resulted in an effective reduction of heat losses due to the old door and window trim used in the past.

EPS and XPS are materials that are easily adaptable and customisable to different sizes, but above all they increase the acoustic and thermal insulation of the house, in accordance with current regulations and market demand. The main differences between Nettuno Sistemi's hot wire foam cutting machines 300C and 300C Plus lie in their speed and precision features:

  • Thread tensioning system: The 300C uses a spring-based system to maintain thread tension, while the 300C Plus offers a PC-controlled tensioning system, which improves precision during cutting.

  • Shaft precision: On the 300C Plus model, the shafts move on high-precision recirculating ball guides, ensuring greater stability and accuracy during cutting. This system is not present on the standard 300C model.

  • Servomotors: The 300C Plus model is equipped with servomotors as standard, which improves the reliability and precision of movements. The basic 300C model does not include this feature, which can affect accuracy on more complex cuts.

  • Additional options: Both models can be equipped with tools such as the multi-thread harp and vertical rotary table, but the 300C Plus is better optimised for integrating these options, especially in large-scale production.

    Both models share similar features in terms of cutting area (1400x1250 mm), cutting wire material (titanium) and software capabilities. Both are capable of cutting 3D foam and include Nettuno's advanced software for complex polystyrene cutting.

The 300C is a CNC hot wire cutting machine, equipped with 4 independent axes and a cutting area of: X 1400 mm, Y 1250 mm, Z 3000 mm.

Thanks to its versatility and 4 independent axes, it is capable of producing polystyrene elements for window and door insulation in various sizes and shapes, customising to the design requirements of both new and existing buildings. In addition, with its state-of-the-art software, the 300C CNC cutting machine can cut a wide variety of shapes and elements for the construction industry, such as polystyrene formwork, EPS/XPS prefabricated materials, columns, cornices, capitals and decorative elements for facades, as well as interior and exterior designs.

Friction tensioning

The Plus version of the 300C CNC pantograph is proud to use the "friction thread tensioning" system developed by Nettuno Sistemi several years ago and widely copied by competitors all over the world. This special computer-controlled wire tensioning system keeps the wire tension constant during the cutting process of the polystyrene block, giving a precise and perfect result. Thanks to the friction system, independent axis cuts can be easily executed without misalignment limitations.

The movement of the axes on precision recirculating ball guides and servo motors (standard on the Plus model) ensure maximum precision and reliability of this CNC hot wire foam cutter.

Microprocessor current stabilisation

Thanks to the microprocessor control of the current in the wire, both versions have perfect temperature stability during cutting, regardless of external power fluctuations or changes in wire length that can occur when cutting with independent axes.

Thanks to the Nettuno Sistemi software, the 300C can design multiple and complex cuts in the polystyrene block with the possibility of always having a 3D preview of the result.
