Its versatility supports wire diameters from 0.20 to 0.60 mm, ensuring detailed and precise cuts even on delicate workpieces. With four movable boards, the loading of expanded polystyrene blocks is effortless, thanks to the smooth gliding of the rails.

The adaptable structure, extendable up to 4,200 mm or even 6,000 mm on request, adapts to both large and small foam shapes. Its automatic wire tensioning system ensures constant tension for precise cuts, while an increased wire inclination allows for intricate taper and taper designs.

This machine easily transitions from industrial duty cycles to precision settings for accurate cuts. The Mammut CNC hot wire foam cutting machine's fluid sliding structure on rails allows the cutting area to be extended, enabling cuts of up to 4 metres.

Adaptable structure

The structure of this CNC hot wire machine can be easily extended thanks to its precise rails fixed to the floor, allowing it to cut expanded polystyrene blocks up to 4500 mm in length (on request, Mammut can be customised to cut EPS blocks up to 6000 mm in length). This adaptability makes Mammut suitable for processing large and small foam shapes with intricate details.

Versatility: Mammut allows the installation of cutting wires of different diameters: 0.25 mm | 0.30 mm | 0.40 mm | 0.50 mm.

Automatic wire tensioning system

The Mammut CNC hot wire foam cutting machine incorporates an advanced "automatic wire tensioner", the product of Nettuno Sistemi's extensive research. Nettuno's PC-controlled tensioner allows the cutting wire to reach the maximum inclination between the axes, without any restrictions.

Cutting wire inclination

By reducing the dimensions of the main frame and employing fixed rails on the floor, this machine achieves a significantly greater wire inclination than fixed frame machines. This steeper angle of inclination, which corresponds to the diagonal of the system, makes it possible to cut tapered and tapering shapes in EPS, which would be difficult to achieve with a standard machine.

Multiple movable panels

Equipped with 4 marble sliding panels with pneumatic locking that can be easily moved along recirculating ball guides. Therefore, it allows an easy and fast loading of polystyrene blocks, thanks to the rollers placed at the end of each board. In addition, the wire cutting process remains smooth even with large blocks. The boards are uniform and perfectly level, allowing precise cutting of even small shapes.

Microprocessor to control the wire temperature

The cutting wire temperature is managed by a PC-controlled system, ensuring that the optimum temperature is always reached before starting to cut the foam block. This advanced system keeps the temperature constant, even in the face of tension fluctuations or changes in wire length, thanks to the automatic tensioning mechanism. This precise control guarantees even and accurate cuts throughout the entire foam cutting process.
