Automatic bending machine with dual-side heating
The HRP-D is the Shannon Machines bender that combines the top and bottom heating of the HRP series with an automatic feeding and conveyor belt system. It processes sheets up to 3,000 mm long and 1 to 12 mm thick, with a maximum of 25 mm.
With up to 8 digitally regulated heating lines, a timer-controlled top frame and clamping rollers, it handles both large sheets and long series of small parts, with an output of up to 2,000 parts per hour. It is the solution for manufacturers who need volume without giving up the ability to bend polycarbonate and thick sheets.

Applications of the HRP-D bending machine
Industrial runs of displays and signage in thick sheets
The HRP-D combines automatic feeding with dual-side heating, a formula built for high volumes of parts that also demand thickness or strength:
Series-produced displays and POS: catalogue displays, poster holders, brochure holders and card holders produced in large batches with identical bends.
Signage and sign making: acrylic and polycarbonate signs where the sheet thickness calls for heating from both sides.
Showcases and advertising supports: acrylic parts in different sizes that can be alternated on the same production line.
Large parts and series of small parts: sheets up to 3 metres or batches of small parts with a distance between bends of 20 to 950 mm.
Automation and heating of the HRP-D bending machine
Conveyor transport adjustable from 0 to 1,350 mm/min
The HRP-D features automatic feeding and a conveyor belt with speed adjustable from 0 to 1,350 mm/min, integrated into a work surface of adjustable panels. This lets the throughput rate be matched to material and thickness, and the machine can also be run manually when needed.
Up to eight digitally adjusted heating elements
It takes 1 to 4 bottom profiles and 1 to 4 top profiles, with a maximum of 8 temperature controllers. Heating the sheet from both sides at once speeds up the cycle and reduces stress, making it possible to bend polycarbonate and sheets up to 25 mm on an automatic line.
Timer-controlled top frame with roller tracks
The top frame is time-controlled and carries one or more roller tracks alongside the heating lines. The rollers hold the sheets in place and prevent the banana effect, while the double parallel stop, graduated in millimetres and inches, sets the position of each bend. The whole process is managed from a mobile digital control unit.

750 kg platform built for continuous production
At 3,390 x 1,300 x 1,720 mm and 750 kg, the HRP-D shares the heavy-duty structure of the HRP series and integrates the transport system into it. The heat-resistant work surface, with adjustable panels and an adjustable belt, keeps pace with a line that feeds sheets without interruption.
Modular line that grows from 2 to 8 controllers
The machine has a modular construction: it can start with 1 bottom and 1 top profile and be expanded later with additional heating profiles and control units. It runs on 400 V with a power consumption of 2 to 8 kW depending on the installed configuration.

Profiles and accessories for automatic bending lines
Profile configurations: from 1 + 1 profiles with 2 controllers up to 4 + 4 profiles with 8 controllers and one or two roller tracks.
3 m VMD cooling accessory: designed for conveyor-belt benders, adaptable to T, L and U shapes to cool large quantities of sheets.
Working length adjustment kit: adjustable hot or cold zones without covering the wire, in sets of 65, 130, 220 or 300 cm.
Single contact line profile: for thin sheets or foamed PVC from 0.3 to 1.5 mm.

Materials compatible with the HRP-D bending machine
From thin acrylic to thick polycarbonate on a single line
Acrylic (PMMA): displays, brochure holders and signage in long runs with clean, repeatable bends.
Polycarbonate (PC): dual-side heating reduces stress and makes automatic bending of thick sheets feasible.
Polystyrene (PS): advertising supports and POS items produced in large volumes.
PVC: signage and components; with the single contact line profile, thin foamed PVC as well.
HRP-D, HRP 300 and HRT-D 300: how they differ
The HRP-D and the HRP 300 share top and bottom heating, a 400 V supply, up to 8 controllers and thicknesses up to 25 mm. The difference is that the HRP-D adds automatic feeding and a conveyor belt, so it is designed for runs where the HRP 300 would require more handling.
The HRT-D 300 also has automatic feeding, but heats from the bottom side only and processes sheets up to 12 mm on 230 V. When production includes polycarbonate or thick sheets, the HRP-D is the right choice.
