Automatic double-bend machine for sheets up to 5 mm
The ABM-D 135-i is a fully automatic thermoplastic bending machine from Shannon Machines for sheets 0.5 to 5 mm thick and up to 1,350 mm long. Two bending lines with top and bottom heating make it possible to produce two upward bends in a single cycle, with the angle set by protractors.
The i series features a touchscreen with a memory function to store settings, parameters and products, so changing from one job to another is quick and results are consistently repeatable. Several sheets, or a single sheet up to 135 cm, can be bent at once.
A solution for display, POS and signage manufacturers who want to automate medium-format parts. BERMAQ distributes the machine and provides its technical service.

Applications of the ABM-D 135-i bending machine
Medium-format U-shaped and double-bend parts in series
With a 1,350 mm working length, a distance between bends of 140 to 620 mm and angles from 0 to 180º, the ABM-D 135-i is designed for medium-format parts repeated in large quantities:
Displays and POS: catalogue displays, brochure holders, card holders and poster holders with two bends made in a single cycle.
Signage and sign making: signs, stands and visual communication elements in acrylic up to 5 mm.
Interiors and furniture: showcases, decorative pieces and medium-sized acrylic components with a uniform finish.
Multi-sheet runs: simultaneous bending of several small sheets along the 135 cm line to multiply output.
How the ABM-D 135-i bending machine works
Two automatic bending lines in every cycle
The ABM-D 135-i has 2 bottom and 2 top heating profiles, managed by 4 temperature control units. This makes it possible to produce two upward bends at the same time. Each bending line has two protractors to set the correct angle, from 0 to 180º, and bending is performed automatically, without the operator having to handle the hot sheet.
Vacuum and pressure bars for straight bends in thin sheet
Each line includes a vacuum system and pressure bars that keep the material flat and correctly positioned during heating and bending. With thicknesses from 0.5 to 5 mm, this clamping is key to avoiding distortion and achieving a straight bend along the full length.
Touchscreen with product memory
The i-series touchscreen stores the settings, parameters and configurations of each product. Recalling a job is instant, which cuts set-up times and makes results highly consistent from batch to batch, even with different operators.
Design of the ABM-D 135-i bending machine
Movable front line to set the distance between bends
The entire front bending line, including the heating profile, bending system and vacuum, moves easily to set the distance between the two lines, from 140 to 620 mm. When a part does not need both lines, one of them can be switched off.
Mobile base with brakes and ergonomic working height
The machine is supplied on a mobile lower frame with brakes that places the work area at an ideal height for the operator. At 2,090 x 1,320 x 1,900 mm and 350 kg, it runs on 230 V with a power consumption of 2,600 W, making it easy to integrate into any workshop.

Blades, bars and kits for every sheet thickness
Direct heating blade: Teflon-coated brass profile with contact strips from 2 to 10 mm, ideal for thin sheets or foamed PVC.
Blades in several lengths: available for working lengths of 500, 650 and 1,350 mm, and easy to replace.
Additional pressure bars: to clamp the sheet on both sides of the heating line and ensure a straight bend.
Working length adjustment kit: creates hot or cold zones without covering the heating wire.
