Premium semi-automatic bender, 2,200 mm
The HRP 220 is the semi-automatic bender in Shannon Machines' HRP series, a high-performance floor-standing machine with digitally controlled bottom and top heating and a 2,200 mm working length. Heating from both sides processes plastic sheets faster, reduces stress and allows thick materials and polycarbonate up to 25 mm to be worked.
Its pneumatic top frame with adjustable pressure bars, controlled by foot pedal and timer, keeps the sheets flat during heating. Modular up to 4 top and 4 bottom lines, it is the solution for workshops and factories producing batches of medium and large-format parts with precision and consistency.

The combination of several bending lines, a timed frame and a maximum thickness of 25 mm makes the HRP 220 a production tool for batches in which every part must match the previous one:
Displays and POP: catalogue stands, leaflet holders, card holders and poster holders in acrylic produced in series.
Signage and sign making: medium and large-format signs and advertising supports with clean, parallel bends.
Interior design and furniture: showcases, furniture and decorative acrylic pieces, including greater thicknesses.
Industrial components: thick technical plastic parts for industrial and commercial applications.
Prototypes and models: test parts and industrial design models with precise, repeatable bends.
The HRP 220 accepts 1 to 4 bottom heating lines and 1 to 4 top lines, managed by up to 8 digital temperature controllers. The heating profiles are easily positioned and the wires are height-adjustable, allowing several bends in a single cycle with a distance between bends of 20 to 1,000 mm.
The pneumatically operated top frame, controlled by foot pedal and timer, features adjustable pressure bars that hold the sheets and prevent them from warping during heating, the so-called banana effect. Heating time is identical for every part.
With a 400 V connection and a consumption of 2 to 8 kW depending on the configuration, the HRP 220 has the power to work 1 to 12 mm routinely and reach a maximum thickness of 25 mm, with polycarbonate and other demanding materials.
The machine features two emergency stops that halt the cycle immediately and protect the operator in daily use.
Measuring 2,390 x 1,300 x 1,720 mm and weighing 650 kg, the HRP 220 is a heavy, stable machine built for continuous production shifts. The modular construction comes internally prepared for expansion with additional heating profiles and control units without changing machines.
The work surface is durable and heat-resistant and consists of several adjustable panels. It comes standard with a parallel back stop with millimetre and inch markings and a clamping bar, ensuring the sheet is positioned exactly for every bend.
Line expansion: from the version with 1 bottom and 1 top profile with 2 controllers up to 4 and 4 with 8 controllers and 4 pressure bars.
Multiple heating line: wide profile accepting up to 3 heating wires for bending large radii or thicker materials.
Additional parallel stop: more reference points for parts with several bends.
VMA 220 cooling support: cooling jig with adjustable angle and a wheeled frame with brakes.
Contact bending profiles: for thin sheets and foamed PVC, with Teflon support blocks.

Ask for budget
Double-sided heating and up to 8 kW of power allow the HRP 220 to process a wide range of thermoplastics, from thin sheets to very thick panels:
Acrylic (PMMA): displays, signs and furniture with clean bends and no warping.
Polycarbonate (PC): bends with less stress thanks to simultaneous heating of both faces.
Polystyrene (PS): POP and visual communication supports in short and long runs.
PVC: technical parts and signage elements with uniform bends.
Thick sheets and large radii: up to 25 mm and wide curves with the multiple heating line.
The HRP-S 220 shares the 2,200 mm length but runs on 230 V with up to 4 kW, accepts a maximum of 2 top lines and reaches 15 mm thickness. The HRP 220 adds up to 4 top lines, 8 kW and 25 mm maximum thickness, plus the pneumatic frame. The HRP 300 offers the same performance with a 3,000 mm working length and a weight of 750 kg, for those who need even longer parts.
The HRP 220 is ideal for workshops and factories handling medium and large-format projects that need several bends per cycle with identical results part after part. Its expandability allows it to be adapted to new products without replacing the machine, protecting the investment over the long term.
The HRP 220 is manufactured by Shannon Machines and officially distributed by BERMAQ with the BERMAQ Endorsed seal. We advise you on the most suitable line and controller configuration for your production, and the after-sales department offers a network of specialised technicians, operator training and a preventive maintenance service to extend the machine's service life.
