The SNIPER is a CNC hot wire cutting machine by Nettuno Sistemi, designed for companies that turn expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene and rigid foam into industrial volumes. With a 2,500 mm wire and a 2,620 x 1,250 mm cutting area, it processes tall blocks in a single pass.
Its 4 independent axes driven by servo motors, automatic wire tensioning and ±0.05 mm accuracy deliver columns, mouldings, letters and architectural parts with clean, repeatable cuts.

2,500 mm wire for tall blocks
With a 2,500 mm Z stroke and a 2,620 x 1,250 mm working area, the SNIPER accepts large-format blocks without having to split them first. The titanium wire, available in diameters from 0.25 to 0.50 mm, suits both roughing cuts on large blocks and fine contours on small parts.
Four independent servo-driven axes
The 4 independent axes let each end of the wire follow a different path, opening the door to tapered, twisted and variable-profile parts. Servo motors move the axes at up to 13 m/min while holding ±0.05 mm accuracy, so production speed never comes at the expense of finish.
Automatic wire tensioning and temperature control
The automatic tensioner keeps the wire in optimum condition throughout the cycle, while an external potentiometer adjusts the temperature to the density and type of foam. The result is smooth surfaces and consistent dimensions part after part.
Nettuno Cutter software and handheld controller
The machine is operated through the Nettuno Cutter interface, designed so that even operators with little CNC cutting experience can work confidently. The handheld controller makes it easy to position the axes and set up the cut right next to the block.

Reinforced steel and anodised aluminium frame
The reinforced structure, built from steel and anodised aluminium profiles, is designed to provide rigidity during every cutting phase and to accept all the accessories available for the series without losing stability.
X-axis racks and Y-axis screws on ball guides
The X axis is driven by gear racks and the Y axis by lead screws, both running on recirculating ball linear guides. This combination ensures smooth, precise motion even after long periods of operation.
Compacmel Plus sliding table for effortless block loading
The sliding table in Compacmel Plus composite wood offers a smooth, level surface that holds foam blocks firmly and simplifies loading, so even the smallest shapes can be cut accurately.

Vertical turntable: vertical lathe for spheres, columns and symmetrical or asymmetrical 3D figures.
