Dual hot wire CNC foam cutter
The DOUBLE CUT by Nettuno Sistemi is a CNC hot wire cutting machine with two wires and 8 independent axes managed by a single control. Its two cutting planes, with wires positioned orthogonally, work the EPS or XPS block on all four sides without moving it from its original position.
The result is perfect parallelism between faces, less handling and shorter cycles, with a 2,500 x 1,250 mm cutting area and ±0.05 mm accuracy. It is designed for packaging, insulation, construction and signage companies producing small, medium and large runs that want efficiency and flexibility in a single machine.

Two orthogonal cutting planes under one control
The DOUBLE CUT features two wires positioned orthogonally that operate on independent axes. Although it has two work planes, a single control manages both wires and coordinates operations across the whole machine, so the operator programs and supervises the process from one point.
8 independent axes without moving the block
The 8 independent axes make it possible to perform complete operations without repositioning the part. The block keeps its original position throughout the cycle, ensuring parallelism between cuts on different faces and saving the time needed to turn it and re-reference it.
Nettuno software that tracks both wires
The Nettuno software instantly acquires the position of both wires throughout the process and eliminates any risk of collision between them. It includes a CorelDraw licence, the Nettuno Docker Cam CAD/CAM environment with independent-axis functions and the Wedges software for curved cuts by sections.
Dell HMI workstation, console and wireless keypad as standard
The DOUBLE CUT comes with a Dell PC and monitor, an operator console to house the equipment safely and a wireless keypad to jog the axes, pause, adjust cutting speed or check positions without leaving the wire.

Open anodised aluminium structure for unobstructed loading
The DOUBLE CUT is built from anodised aluminium and steel profiles in an open, dynamic structure. Material can be placed on the work surface without structural restrictions, giving both wires complete freedom of movement.
High-density wood fibre table over 2,500 x 1,250 mm
The work surface is a compact high-density wood fibre panel that gives the block stable support across a 2,500 x 1,250 mm cutting area, with a 2,000 mm wire.
Linear ball guides moving two wires at 13 m/min
The axes slide on linear recirculating ball bearing guides, driven by stepper motors, at speeds of up to 13 m/min with ±0.05 mm accuracy. The nichrome or titanium wire, 0.25 to 0.30 mm, is spring-tensioned and its temperature is set by potentiometer.

3D turning and grooving beyond straight dual-wire cutting
In addition to the included Wedges software, the DOUBLE CUT accepts accessories that expand its range of parts:
Vertical turntable: a rotating table for cutting symmetrical, asymmetrical or irregular 3D shapes, spheres, columns, characters and figures.
Shapeable wire: mounted on the slider, it follows the path drawn in CAD to create grooves or engravings a straight wire cannot achieve.
Turntable with shapeable wire: combining both accessories makes it possible to groove three-dimensional polystyrene shapes.
Wedges software: automatically develops curves, ellipses and S shapes by sections from a DXF drawing.

The DOUBLE CUT is manufactured by the Italian company Nettuno Sistemi, which designs and develops its hot wire cutting software in-house. BERMAQ is its official distributor: it advises on defining the workstation, supports commissioning and trains operators.
