Preguntas Frecuentes sobre Fresadoras CNC

¿Qué diferencias estructurales existen entre una fresadora CNC para metal y una para madera?
Las fresadoras para metal (como acero o aluminio) requieren una estructura extremadamente rígida, generalmente de fundición de hierro, para soportar las altas fuerzas de corte y absorber las vibraciones. Además, utilizan husillos de alto par a bajas revoluciones y sistemas de refrigeración líquida por inundación. Por el contrario, los routers CNC para madera priorizan el área de trabajo y la velocidad de desplazamiento; sus estructuras suelen ser de aluminio o acero soldado, utilizan husillos de alta velocidad (RPM elevadas) y dependen de sistemas críticos de aspiración de polvo en lugar de refrigerantes líquidos.
¿Cuándo es recomendable optar por una configuración de 5 ejes en lugar de una de 3 ejes tradicional?
La configuración de 5 ejes es indispensable cuando se fabrican componentes con geometrías complejas, socavados o superficies escultóricas (comunes en el sector aeroespacial, automoción y moldes). Permite mecanizar piezas complejas en una sola configuración, reduciendo drásticamente los tiempos muatados de preparación y aumentando la precisión posicional al eliminar el error humano del reposicionamiento manual. Si tus piezas solo requieren mecanizado en planos perpendiculares estándar, una máquina de 3 ejes con un cuarto eje indexado suele ser una opción mucho más rentable.
